Coating of aluminum
Aluminum forms on the surface a native oxide layer, which offers a certain protection against corrosion. If the oxide layer is mechanically injured, it forms immediately anew, it is however, resistant to pH values from 4.5 to 8.5. In order to improve the existing protection, it is in many cases necessary to coat the part, for example, for outdoor areas in the case that the components are exposed to the weather.
The focus stays on the protection against wear, corrosion resistance of aluminum coating and pretreatment for a subsequent application of paint and varnish on the aluminum surface.

The extremely high temperatures in our arc plasma generators are capable of evaporating any metal – even tungsten, which has a boiling point of 5660° C.
