Dr. Laure Plasmatechnologie GmbH has developed a wide range of applications.
For instance, the company has accumulated the expertise it takes to build coating systems for solar heating which are guaranteed to increase efficiency.
They can also be used to “activate” vehicle bodies, which is useful for touching up any flaws which may have been caused during the finishing process.
We have also collaborated with the German Federal Environmental Foundation (Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt – DBU) in an extensive project which ran from 2007 to 2010. This endeavour proved that it is feasible to reduce sand into silicon in hydrogen plasma.
Another aspect it covered was the process of evacuating and melting down vacuum collector tubes, which we demonstrated to be an effective method of reproducing these vacuum tubes. However, our current system is only capable of doing so in small numbers (for the time being).
Corrosion protection is another major application. Dr. Laure Plasmatechnologie GmbH has developed a method of applying corrosion protection to materials such as bright-rolled aluminium. A wide variety of tests proved the coating to be effective.
There are virtually no limits to the field of metallic coatings. Arc plasma generators make it possible to apply coatings of many different metals to a wide variety of bases. Examples include tantalum, copper and tungsten.
